Abstract
The paper gives a brief survey of the history of the Lithuanian Acoustical Society and its activities. The currently formulated information is provided about the international jubilee conference Baltic-Acoustic 2009 to be held on June 17–19, 2009. It is noted that the Conference will be organized in the English language, though in some cases it would be allowed to use the Lithuanian language, with the shortened translation in English. Those who lack sufficient English language skills may present stand reports, with the equal rights for their publication in the indicated journals. The total registration fee is EUR 350 (LAS members and doctoral students will be granted a discount to EUR 150, depending on their activity in the LAS).

Reziumė
Straipsnyje trumpai apžvelgiama Lietuvos akustikų sąjungos (LAS) istorija ir jos veikla. Pateikiama šiuo metu suformuluota informacija apie 2009 m. birželio 17–19 dienomis organizuojamą tarptautinę jubiliejinę konferenciją Baltic-Acoustic 2009. Pažymima, kad konferencija vyks anglų kalba, nors kai kuriais atvejais bus leidžiama naudoti lietuvių kalbą su trumpu anglišku vertimu. Silpnai kalbantiems anglų kalba, straipsniai-pranešimai bus demonstruojami stenduose (stendiniai pranešimai), su lygomis teisėmis publikuotis nurodytuose žurnaluose. Bendras registracinis mokestis 350 eurų (LAS nariams ir studentams-doktorantams bus daroma nuolaida iki 150 eurų, priklausomai nuo aktyvumo LAS).

Šiais metais t.y. 2009m. birželio 17–19 d/d. numatoma surengti Vilniuje Tarptautinę jubiliejinę konferenciją „BALTIC-ACOUSTIC–2009“ Į šią jubiliejinę tarptautinę konferenciją “BALTIC-ACOUSTIC–2009” pakviesti atvykti iš Šiaurės šalių, JAV, Japonijos, Rusijos, Ukrainos, Lenkijos, Baltijos ir kitų šalių mokslininkai-akustikai. Registracinė kortelė ir dalyvio konferencijoje sąlygos bus paskelbtos sekančioje informacijoje apie konferenciją.
